Technical Whitepaper, Inovatec Systems, Automation in Lending
The Client
Inovatec Systems offers advanced loan origination (LOS) and loan management (LMS) software that stands out through deep configurability, rapid decisioning, and proprietary automation—powered by AI-driven adjudication.
The Challenge
Despite having a top-tier product, Inovatec struggled with product clarity and brand awareness. Messaging lacked technical depth and differentiation, making it difficult for internal teams—and by extension, their total addressable market—to fully understand or articulate the value. Competitors like DeFi, with longer-established market presence, were outpacing them in visibility.
The Strategy
Position Inovatec as a forward-thinking thought leader in the SaaS lending space by:
Collaborating with CFOs and other C-suite-level professionals across Inovatec and its strategic partners to create in-depth, expert-driven thought leadership whitepapers
Leveraging both digital distribution and in-person trade show presence to maximize visibility and engagement
The Execution
The initiative kicked off with extensive stakeholder interviews—not just with senior leaders, but also engineers, implementation specialists, tech leads, and product owners. From these conversations, I:
A series of six thought leadership whitepapers, from Automation in Lending, Risk Mitigation in Regulatory Compliance, Data Normalization, etc.
For each paper, I built a white paper outline rooted in real-world functionality and industry trends
Pulled direct quotes from transcripts to humanize the technical depth
Got buy-in from all participants before developing final drafts
Key content included:
Explainers on how optical character recognition (OCR) integrates into AI pipelines to automate intake
Visuals that map automation opportunities across every stage of the lending lifecycle
Side-by-side comparisons of traditional and alternative data sources, with emphasis on bias reduction and operational efficiency
The Outcome
The final deliverable: a 26-page white paper (reasonably large font, rich in visuals) that doubled as a print magazine for trade shows. It featured a QR code to capture interest in future collaborative pieces. Anecdotally, one attendee was seen highlighting it at a booth—a small but telling signal of engagement.
The white paper sparked significant interest from new potential collaborators and stakeholders. It successfully bridged the gap between product complexity and audience comprehension—earning praise internally and standing out at industry events.
